Understaffed sailing: the latest new equipment

The three-speed E40i can be operated with two fingers through the servo: one for starting and one for switching speed.

This labor-saving electric winch is used for slings, ropes and sheets leading to the roof of the passenger car. It is built around an electric motor that is fully integrated in a black anodized aluminum or stainless steel drum, leaving only three thin cables protruding. This eliminates the large cuts usually associated with the installation of electric winches.

Lofrans' electronic touch panel is designed to be "really reliable" and has a foolproof function. It is a low profile windlass touch panel with LED backlight buttons.

Unlike other control switches that require the user to activate and deactivate the circuit breaker before and after anchoring, using an electronic touch panel, the circuit breaker can remain open without worrying about accidental operation: activation is only a second after pressing two buttons Works afterwards.

Other safety features include three-minute automatic deactivation and buzzer notification when deactivation.

Black, the front panel is IP67 waterproof and dustproof.

The functional configuration of MKIV Ocean is suitable for cruising sailors. It is designed for strength, longevity and ease of use, and has a single-slot round foil.

It is made of hard-coated anodized aluminum, stabilized by UV rays to improve durability, and has multiple rows of Torlon ball bearings to minimize friction and reduce the physical experience of pulling and retracting the wire.

The bearings do not require lubrication and are easy to maintain.

There are four sizes to choose from, suitable for boats from 22 feet to 80 feet.

Gizmos ignores classification and is not entirely a block or a splint. They exist between the two.

At the request of the rigger, Harken manufactured single-sided through deck sleeves designed to protect the deck and ropes from wear during through deck applications.

A double-sided bulkhead bushing is also provided, which is designed to install a soft connection ring to protect the lines from wear and keep them separate.

The Padeye kit includes a cross pin, waterproof cap and O-ring, which converts the double-sided bushing into a waterproof Padeye through the deck.

The cross pin is connected to the rope/loop, and the cover is fastened on the top to prevent water from entering.

Sleeve and ring are sold separately.
