MCB and UPI sign a memorandum of understanding

Lahore: A statement on Wednesday stated that MCB Bank Limited (MCB) and UnionPay International (UPI) have reached an agreement to facilitate e-commerce companies cooperating with MCB eGate to obtain UPI payment services.

According to the statement, according to this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), MCB Bank will allow cooperative e-commerce companies to use UnionPay International as a payment solution for MCB eGate Internet payment gateway services.

All e-commerce companies using the MCB eGate service will be able to obtain patronage from UnionPay international debit and credit card holders, who can now conduct online payment transactions on its platform.

The agreement was signed at MCB House in Lahore by Muhammad Azam Naeem, Head of Digital Banking of MCB Bank, and Nadeem Haroon, Country Manager of UnionPay Pakistan. James Yang, general manager of UnionPay International Middle East, said that looking forward to the future, providing all customers with safe and easy convenience is the key.
