Teachers in Mahaska County and surrounding areas are invited to come to the Environmental Learning Center to have fun and get energized for the 2022-23 school year at a free nature retreat with Mahaska County Conservation.

This event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those interested should sign up by July 29 here: signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4EABAA2EA0FBC34-back.

This will be a fantastic way to experience what your students do during Mahaska County Conservation field trips. Plus, teachers can enjoy the camaraderie with fellow teachers, join in on some fun competition and learn how they can utilize MCCB to supplement their classrooms this school year.

Those interested do not need to be a science teacher to participate. Team up with a teacher/paraeducator in your school and grade level to compete with other schools for bragging rights and a trophy prize worth sporting in your classroom.
